Show Descriptions

This show travels back to 15th century Italy to bring to life the work, times, and unparalleled genius of Leonardo da Vinci. The audience plays a riddle game, “Decoding Da Vinci.”, and gets a tantalizing taste of Renaissance music.

Leonardo leads us through his youth near Florence, where he was influenced by the legacy of Galileo, Machiavelli, Dante, and the powerful family of patrons and popes, the Medici.

We learn how Leonardo excelled not only as an artist but also as an engineer, inventor, and scientist, to become the epitome of the Renaissance Man.

The great artist himself reveals the stories behind his masterpieces including The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa; and why many of his greatest works of art were never completed. We get inside the mind of the man whose inventions, such as the submarine, the hang-glider, the helicopter, and the bicycle were centuries ahead of his time.

We explore Leonardo's personal loves and rivalries with the likes of Michelangelo and Raphael.  Students will be inspired by the broad-ranging intellect and passion of this man who repeatedly failed to fly, but whose sublime creations still make the human spirit soar.

Text Box: “When fortune comes seize her firmly by the bangs, for I tell you she is bald at the back.”
"You were absolutely inspiring. The acting, the costumes, the set, everything was great. Even your Study Guide was the best I've ever seen. The kids learned not only about art and history, but about science, and thinking independently."
